Orchid Observers Talk
#yellow pigment visible - beautiful sample.
Are these all the same species?
There appears to be a sheet of waxed paper over the sample page.
Sample ending in 6 must have been a brilliant shade of #purple...
Lower left specimen appears to be missing?
Right hand #sample missing a #barcode. Appears to be two #different #species.
Interesting #shapes of the #flowers
Two #barcodes, one #specimen. Appears the one ending in 7 relates to specimen on sheet. Pls. check.
Bottom of page - sample is a #photograph not a #specimen
As of 8 January 2017 it is still one barcode for this sheet - needs 2 acc. to Richard.
#bud
#delicate
Dark samples, wonder why?
Code ending in 47 - very faint label.
Upper right sample a #photograph - interesting!
#poisoned (ending in 65)
#buds
Marked as #poisoned
These were preserved well - fine details on the flowers visible.
Sample ending in 066: purple color remains - beautiful. All other specimens on sheet listed as "poisoned."
The orchid structure is really evident in these - striking.
Needs a few more views of the label - very hard to make out city.
Unusual habitat noted on the label - thought that was interesting.
Leftmost sample - from Reed, based on the typed label?
Specimen ending in 53, on right: is Coy short for County?
Delicate flowers - stunning specimen.
No location seems to be given for the leftmost sample.
Such delicate little things!
Roots.
Almost looks like a daffodil. Curious shapes.
Adding to my root obsession. Mind blown that I'm looking at something from the 1800s.
Neat how the root bulb was collected also.
Think this one is from Hertfordshire based on cursive...
Interesting leaves, and the roots collected also.
