The label says "meadow near the stony Sheepwash" which implies it was a stream. Sheepwash is a common hamlet name everywhere from Devon to Northumberland. Perhaps the collector was in his home area.

Thanks for your thoughts on this – it’s difficult to be certain of the location here – there is a ? to the VC (Shropshire) recorded on the sheet and a quick search reveals there to be a historical site of Sheepwash, Nr Stanmore, Shropshire
